Everyone loves a good zombie flick, whether it’s convincingly lifelike like World War Z or Train to Busan, or movies with a touch of humor like Zombieland or Shaun of the Dead. More zombie movies and TV shows mean more zombie games as well – and us zombie-lovers are 100% here for it! We’ve got a list of our favorite zombie-themed slot games that are available to play on OppaBet! OppaBet is accessible on both desktop and mobile, so fellow zombie-lovers can survive the zombie apocalypse from anywhere they want.
Lost Vegas from Microgaming
Taking from its name, Lost Vegas is set in the now abandoned, dimly lit streets and casino halls of a zombie-ridden Las Vegas. It has 5 reels and 3 rows, with 243 ways to win! There are no fixed paylines in this zombie-themed slot; you win the payout as long as identical symbols appear on consecutive reels starting from the leftmost.
Why it’s great:
Lost Vegas is a feature-rich slot game but our personal favorite is the choice you need to make before starting any spin. From the get-go, you need to make a decision as to whether you’re playing as the Survivors or the Zombies. Both have their corresponding special symbols. If you’re with the Survivors, you’re joined by a golfer, waitress, Vegas girl, gun-brandishing high roller, and what looks to be a pilot or cop. On the other hand, play with the zombies and your buddies are an Elvis impersonator, tourist, nurse, cabaret dancer, and a pair of newlyweds – all undead, of course!
Choosing one group or the other will also give you its own benefit during Free Spins. The Survivors bring the Stash Feature, where the regular card symbols of Ten to Ace are removed from the reels when they land. Each removed symbol will add rewards to your stash of winnings, and any combinations are paid out again. The Free Spins continue until all of the card symbols have been stashed.
The Zombies bring the Infection Feature, where the reels are infected when a full stack of zombies appear. Infected reels then turn regular Wilds into Stacked Wilds! Free Spins continue until all reels are infected or until you get to 50 spins. If you get to 50, you win a bonus prize, too!
Other Features:
Apart from the Free Spins features mentioned above, Lost Vegas has a few more features that make it great. It has a Wild symbol that is the game’s logo, and it replaces all game symbols except the Scatter. The BioHazard Scatter symbol has its own payout and also triggers the Free Spins rounds when at least 3 appear anywhere on the screen.
Even when a spin doesn’t lead to a win, you could trigger the Blackout Bonus or the Zombie Fist of Cash. In the Blackout Bonus, all high symbols on the screen award cash and only one Scatter symbol is needed to trigger the Free Spins. Alternatively, a huge zombie fist holding a wad of cash may pop up over the screen, rewarding you with a big payout! Both of these bonuses can occur regardless of whether you’re playing as Survivors or Zombies.
Another fun feature doesn’t reward any additional wins but simply helps you to track your win status. Every win combination in the base game is logged and highlighted on the payout table. When you’ve won all possible combinations for the same symbol (x3, x4, and x5), you’ve basically unlocked the achievement for that symbol!
Summary:
Microgaming has added yet another innovative zombie-themed slot game to their arsenal. With the excellent graphics and accompanying soundtrack, Lost Vegas is definitely one of our favorites on this list. Give it a spin over on OppaBet!
Zombie Rush from Leander Games
In Zombie Rush, you’re helping Claire and Max as they venture through the post-apocalyptic streets of their town with their baseball bat and shotgun. With them, you’ll encounter some cartoonish zombies, more weapons, brains, and more on the 5 reels and 3 rows of the game. There are 15 paylines and winning combinations must always start from the leftmost reel.
Why it’s great:
We absolutely love the cartoonish graphics of Zombie Rush! The zombies are just cute enough to not be that scary, but there’s still a bit of the creepy factor. However, what we really love about this is game is the Nuclear Zombie feature. In both the base game and Free Spins rounds, the Wild symbol will spill its radioactive liquid over when it lands on top of a zombie symbol, turning every identical zombie symbol into a Wild as well! These zombie Wilds on a winning payline will reward their own payout as well.
Other Features:
During the main game, a re-spin may occur at random with a winning combination. The reels that aren’t part of the winning payline will spin again and hopefully improve the existing win!
When the zombies get together on one symbol, that’s the Free Spins symbol. When this symbol appears anywhere on reels 1, 3, and 5, you’ll get 10 Free Spins. Again, the Nuclear Zombie feature is active here as well but more powerfully as all zombie symbols are stacked.
Lastly, the Finding Claire bonus activates when 3 or more of the Steel Door bonus symbols appear anywhere on reels 2, 3, and 4. In this bonus feature, you’re helping Max look for Claire by opening the doors. There are 4 possibilities of prizes in the bonus: win an instant prize and keep opening doors; win the prize and advance to the next level; find a zombie and end the bonus, or find Claire to win a big prize!
Summary:
The features may not be as unique as other zombie-themed slot games, but that Nuclear Zombie keeps you excited every time there’s a Wild on the screen! That bonus game is pretty exciting too, making you jump out of your seat when you open that door and run straight into a zombie! Leander Games brings us a cute-but-creepy zombie-themed slot game – play Zombie Rush now on OppaBet!
The Dead Escape from Habanero
From the cartoon graphics of the previous games on the list, Habanero brings a zombie-themed game with hyper-realistic graphics! The Dead Escape looks like it’s set years after a zombie-ridden city is all but completely abandoned. Join our hero and (presumably) his daughter as they drive around in their pickup truck and slaughter zombies left and right.
The game has 5 reels, 3 rows, and 30 paylines that pay out rewards from both the leftmost and rightmost reels.
Why it’s great:
Apart from the paylines that pay both ways (effectively making it 60 paylines), we love the Duels feature that can occur in both the base game and free spins. When either of the human symbols appears directly beside a zombie Wild symbol, a duel between the two starts. The result of the duel is determined by the flip of a coin and is either “Dead” or “Escape”.
If the result is “Dead”, the human loses and animates into a zombie, thus becoming a Wild as well. This may trigger additional duels if the new Wild is next to another human symbol.
If the result is “Escape”, the zombie Wild turns into an Expanding Wild to fill the entire reel. In this case, the changed Wild cannot trigger any additional duels.
Other features:
As previously mentioned, the zombie symbol is the game’s Wild and substitutes for all regular game symbols. The orange pickup truck, on the other hand, is the Scatter symbol. 3 or more anywhere on the screen will award 15 free spins. The Scatter symbol will not appear again during the free spins, but another symbol will take its place – the red gas canister. Even though you can’t retrigger the free spins with the pickup truck, the gas canister will grant you +1 extra spin!
Summary:
Nothing will get you into the zombie-slaying mood faster than The Dead Escape, not when everything looks as realistic as it does in this game! It’s extra exciting to see how each duel is going to turn out, too. So whether you’re playing on a mobile or bringing it to a big screen on your computer, hopefully, you’re able to outlast the horror. Play The Dead Escape now on OppaBet!
Alaxe in Zombieland from Microgaming
Microgaming makes a second appearance on our zombie-themed list with their horrifying twist on the classic fairy tale, Alice in Wonderland. In Alaxe in Zombieland, the graphics may be cartoonish, but that doesn’t make them any less terrifying. Even sweet, innocent Alice looks like she’s gunning for some blood!
On the 5 reels and 3 rows, you may see a zombified Alice, Cheshire cat, Mad Hatter, and White Rabbit as the high-paying symbols. The remaining 6 symbols are the card symbols Nine to Ace. Both the highest and lowest paying symbols – Alice and the Nine, respectively – reward payouts when just two of the symbols form a winning payline. The rest of the symbols need at least 3 for a payout.
Why it’s great:
Alaxe in Zombieland has not one, not two, but three Scatter symbols – the clock, key, and potion. Getting 3 or more identical Scatters will trigger its corresponding bonus feature. Each feature is just as fun as the rest, and the rewards can be potentially huge!
Three clock symbols will trigger the Tea Party Bonus Game. There are three parts to this feature, the first being a screen with three clocks for players to choose from. Choosing one will determine how many chances you’ll have to pick next. On the second screen, there are 14 teapots. Depending on the number of picks you won on the first screen, you get to select teapots at random. Each teapot has either free spins only or free spins with a +1 multiplier. Finally, you’ll see the free spins screen. The number of free spins you get is determined by the original 3 given upon triggering the feature, plus the total number picked from the previous screen. The feature can occur again as well, and the other features can occur as well. If that happens, the free spins multiplier applies to wins in the other features as well!
Three key symbols will trigger the Red Queen’s Adventure Bonus Game. Upon entering this feature, you’ll see 5 tombstones with 5 white roses each. Starting from the leftmost tombstone, choose 3 of the roses to paint red and each one will give out a reward. If the total amount from the 3 roses is equal to or more than the amount on the tombstone, you’ll move onto the next tombstone. If you get past the last tombstone, you unlock the escape level with 6 doors. Take a pick to either reveal a multiplier or the Red Queen. If you select the latter, the feature is over and you return to the main game.
Three potion symbols will trigger the Gravestones Bonus Game. Here, you’ll see 15 tombstones scattered around the screen. Select tombstones at random; Alaxe will pop out to crack it in half, revealing the hidden cash prize. When you pick a tombstone that reveals “Collect”, the feature ends and you win the accumulated prize.
Other features:
There’s also a Wild symbol that, honestly, looks like a brain cake. The Wild substitutes for all symbols except the Scatter and pays double the symbol’s payout! The Scatter symbol has its own payout as well, as long as at least one of each Scatter shows up anywhere on the screen.
Summary:
Unlike other fairytale-inspired slot games, this one takes a truly terrifying twist. With such a high potential for prizes in the bonus games though, who’s complaining? The graphics aren’t of the highest quality available but they’re great enough to paint a creepy picture. Jump into Alaxe in Zombieland on OppaBet!
Dia De Los Muertos from Oryx Gaming
On the Day of the Dead, the dead come out to play! In Dia De Los Muertos from Oryx Gaming, you’ll see skulls and flowers and a skeletal Mariachi band, all reminiscent of the spooky Mexican holiday! Set on an altar to honor the dead, the game screen has 5 reels, 3 rows, and 15 fixed paylines.
Why it’s great:
The Mariachi band has 5 members: Gerardo, Ramones, Catrina, Pedro, and Manuel. Each member of the band acts as a Wild, Scatter, and Bonus!
As a Wild, the Mariachi symbols replace only the 3 highest-paying symbols – the Candy Skull, Beamish Pumpkin, and Cempazuchil Flower. At the same time, any payout it substitutes in pays double the prize! As a Scatter, they have their own payout when they form a winning payline and also double the payouts. The best feature, however, is when the Mariachi symbols act as the Bonus.
3 or more Mariachi symbols anywhere on the screen triggers the bonus game that has three parts: the Candy Skull bonus, the Mariachi Party feature and finally, the free spins. During the Candy Skull bonus, there are 6 neon skulls on the screen to choose from. 5 of them have their own cash prize, while 1 will trigger the Mariachi Party feature. When the Mariachi Party feature starts, you’ll see 5 different concert venues to choose where to have the band perform: the Marketplace, Salon, Church, Mayor’s Villa, and Fountain Plaza. The first venue will determine how many free spins you’re playing with; the second venue awards a multiplier for the duration of the free spins.
Sadly, the Bonus features can’t occur again during the free spins. When 3 or more Mariachi symbols again during free spins, they simply pay the Scatter symbol payout with the current free spins multiplier in play.
Other features:
The 3 highest-paying symbols, as well as the lowest-paying Ten symbol, will pay out their rewards when only 2 appear on a winning payline. The remaining card symbols Jack to Ace will payout their rewards when 3 or more form a winning payline.
There is also a Gamble feature after each win in the base game. All you have to do is guess whether the next card is red or black. Choosing correctly will double your winnings while choosing incorrectly will make you lose it all! You can continue guessing if it’s right, or collect your winnings if you don’t want to take the risk.
Summary:
Dia De Los Muertos is a holiday to honor the dead, but it’s also an amazing slot game with an extra fun bonus! The graphics are great and the music is upbeat, with just slight undertones of wispy and creepy. If you love zombies and the Mexican culture, this game is perfect for you!
